NASA's search for the hidden ice in the moon's south pole seemed to irritate those who waited for its images on television.

"On the surface of the moon where they are targeting, they believe that temperature is about -350 degrees Fahrenheit... Lunar orbiters have detected what they believe are excessive amounts of hydrogen especially at the poles. So this is all about slamming this as hard as they can... and when they do they expect this massive explosion to come off of the surface of the moon... what they're really looking for is more than hydrogen. Are there in fact going to be seen large quantities of ice come up and will that ice vaporize when it suddenly hit the ultraviolet rays."
Too bad the footage failed.
